Manual Tilt Wheelchairs

  • Up to 55 degrees of Tilt in Space Technology
  • Chair weight averages less than 40 lbs.
  • Aluminum frame construction
  • Intuitive Hanger Designs feature swing in / swing out and bi-directional release levers
  • Multiple configurations and options available such as:
    • Contracture Footrests
    • Angle-adjustable foot plates
  • Client is a full time wheelchair user
  • Client cannot functionally ambulate
  • Client has a history of (or currently has) pressure ulcer(s) on lower back or buttock
  • Client requires positioning while in a wheelchair
  • Client is unable to functionally weight shift throughout the day

In order to independently propel, the patient must require features available on the Ultra Lightweight wheelchair, such as axle adjustment or wheel camber that is NOT available on lower-level wheelchairs i.e.; standard, lightweight or high strength lightweight wheelchairs.

  • The Drive Wheels have an adjustable axle plate to improve self-propulsion
  • The chair offers custom adjustments
    • Seat width and depth
    • Seat to floor heights
    • Camber
  • Available in Rigid or Folding frame styles
  • Client is a full time wheelchair user
  • Client must be independent while using the manual wheelchair to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Patient has a documented upper body extremity limitation. Some examples would be:
    • Rotator cuff
    • Paresis
    • Abnormal muscle tone


General Use Power Wheelchairs

  • Average range up to 7 miles
  • Small footprint for increased maneuverability
  • Client is a full time wheelchair user
  • Client must require a power wheelchair to perform all ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Client requires the chair for indoor use
  • Client is unable to effectively utilize other ambulatory devices within the home in order to perform ADLs

  • Client is a full time wheelchair user
  • Client must require a power wheelchair to perform all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Client is not able to effectively weight shift while in a wheelchair
  • Client has a history of (or currently has) pressure sores on lower back, hip or buttock
  • Client is unable to functionally weight shift and/or pressure relive throughout the day
  • Client has risk factors for skin breakdown
    • Incontinence
    • Nutritional deficit

  • Client has the inability to weight shift due to a specific diagnosis
